Reflections on my SA2 results

Well I guessed this post is done too long after after the SA2 exams. Reason is that I had no motivation to post my results since my SA2 was a TOTAL SCREWED UP for ALL subjects!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the trend I would always get-Good CA1, SA1, CA2 results and a TOTALLY DISASTROUS SA2 results. Here are my following results:

English: 58.5 (C5)-Summary totally screwed up, getting 9/25!!! The rest of the components are quite fine, even though they are still considered sucked up.
Maths: 61 (B4)-Paper 1 totally screwed up, 28/50. Paper 2 was FAR worst from expected, guessed I got too much careless mistakes and wrong presentation of working.
Higher Chinese: 63.5 (B4)-Summary again!!! 6/20!!! Since I summarised the wrong part of passage. Summaries is seriously killed me badly this time!!! Or else I would at least gotten a B3 or even A2.
Science: 63.6 (B4)-Section B of the Biology paper was very badly done, failing badly, that led to the fact that I almost failed my Biology paper and therefore pulled my total marks down badly! Chemistry and Physics was quite fine though not really well done.
History: 65 (B3)-Poor time management, I had to rushed through the SEQs so I lost lots of marks on that since I spent too much time on SBQ (which was also badly done-a waste of time!)
Art: 67.5 (B3)-Happy enough after all the animation was done within ONE day!!! Characters screwed up-my partner was too LAZY to draw the characters properly!
Home Economics: 76.5 (A1)-The only A1 this time. Not happy since lots of people scored higher than me. Teddy Bear and Practical 1 (frying omelette) was badly screwed up.
MSG: 3.4. A horrendous MSG!!!-Compared to 1.8 in CA2.

These are my SA2 combined scores, note that all the combined scores are pulled down by the SA2 scores!:

English-61.6
Maths-68.6
Higher Chinese-68.6
Science-67
History-73.7
Art-62.9 (this is a case of exception since the CA2 was a screwed up one instead of SA2)
Home Economics-76.5 (There is no CA2 for Home Economics so SA2 is 100% of overall score)
MSG-2.9

These are my overall scores for the whole year (including Geography, D&T and Literature):

With these results, I got a level position of 156/371 -that put me to class 3H this year, compared to SA1: 74/371, that would have put me to 3A, the top class! Looks like I must work harder this year in order to get a better score-especially in SA2 to broke the stupid trend of screwing up SA2!!!

Reflections on my CA2 results

September has been indeed a month full of posts! Sorry for the late post, lazy to post...SA2 is already around the corner...Anyway, glad to announce that I had done well for most subjects for CA2, with a MSG of 1.8.
For my English, I did rather fine, getting a score of 70.7, which is an A2. I am quite happy though, my FIRST A in Victoria School! Guess my Reading Programme pulled me up A LOT, or else with only the screwed up Incident Report Tests, I would end up a B4.
For my Higher Chinese, I got 77 marks, still I don't feel that proud as many people scored quite high. I screwed up my comprehension. Anyway this is only the temporary score without CA2a and TFU.
As for my History, I got 80 marks, but still, I am not that happy as many people got same mark as me and the fact that my target was not reached. Same as HCL, this is only the temporary score without TFU.
For my Maths, I once again as tyco as CA1, gaining a score of 90. Guessed I scored quite high in my class tests and CA2. I think that we should score well in CAs to serve as a back-up since many people will screwed up their SA2, like me last year.
For my Science (Physics), I scored 77.2 marks, though the report card stated 80 marks (that's the mark for CA2 paper without TFU and class test). I feel quite okay. I think that I could score better if I did better in my first class test. My TFU is the WINNER, ranking first in class with the score 38/40. Too bad it only constitutes a small percentage.
My Art is the MOST SCREWED UP, getting a C5 with a score of 56, ranking LAST in class, probably LAST in level!!!!!!! Thanks to that CURSED presentation, JUST PASSED! My flip book was not good too. Guessed I got a wrong partner who just abruptly did the presentation. Still, it was both of us fault, so we decided to salvage the score by improving our attitude in our real animation. I NEVER EVER going to take Art next year!
There is Home Economics but not recorded since either there was no CA marks or it is not ready yet, since we have not completed our teddy bears. Bet I am going to screw up...
Overall, I am quite happy with my results, but still, there are rooms for improvement, especially for Art. All I hoped for SA2 is a better Art score and maybe this kind of standard or better, to get a good class and level position and get a good subject combination.

Reflections on my SA1 results (and 1st combined results)

SA1 is over, I think that I have done better than CA1 (if you have been following my blog on the post on CA1 reflections). I got a MSG of 2.1, which is better compared to 2.7 in CA1, both combined to give a MSG of 2.3, which I think is alright.
As for my English, I screwed up my TFU project, which we were supposed to write some stories, I also screwed up my essay writing for paper 1. My paper 2 was OK though not that good. With these, I scored 63.2 for SA1 which combined to give a score of 64.4, which is a B4, a no good for me.
As for my Literature, well this is my worst subject still, I managed to score a B4, an improvement compared to CA1, which I scored a C6. My poetry pulled me up this time. The combined grade is a C5. I am quite satisfied though I did badly. Glad that Literature has come to an end in VS! From now on I can get rid of Literature!
As for my master subject Geography, I still didn't manage to get the top 2 in class, but I think I should be satisfied with my score. I scored a solid A1 with a score of 79. Combined score is 81.5.(CA1=project(mentioned in previous post)30%+ CA1 exam paper 20%,while SA1= exam paper 50%. Incase you may wonder why my Geography CA1 score is 84 instead of 75 as the CA1 result slip only include the exam paper, not the project).
As for my D&T, I did better this time, with a score of 75, an A1 (as mentioned in the previous post), but combined to give me an A2. I feel so so...
For my Higher Chinese, which I am the most happy with, with a score of 75.5, an A1, coming second in my class. But somehow I think I just tyco. I wondered why I scored so high in my paper 2. The combined score is 74.7, 0.3 marks from A1! I feel quite satisfied though. (My CA1 score is 73.8 instead of 66.5 as reflected in the CA1 result slip because that is only the partial CA1 score).
For my Science, which consisted of Chemistry, Biology, class test and project for SA1, together I got an A1, combined scored 78.9. I feel quite neutral since many people scored quite high too. ( My CA1 score is 74.9 instead of 80 as reflected in my CA1 result slip because that is only the partial CA1 score).
As for my Maths, I was not as tyco as CA1 and did not do as well compared to CA1. I have gotten a screwed score of 66, a B3, I was damn disappointed. But I managed to get a combined score of 79.6, an A1. I felt relieved...(My CA1 score is 90.4 instead of 95 as reflected in my CA1 result slip because that is only the partial CA1 score).
Overall, I feel better and happier in this SA1 than CA1, but there are always rooms for improvement. Lets hope I can get a better score for CA2...
